Spiritual direction can be helpful as together we (director and diretee) listen carefully to to discern the movement of the Holy Spirit, looking at how God is working, calling, prodding, transforming and inviting the directee to new ways of being with Jesus in the midst of her/his circumstance and in the world today. The men walking on the road to Emmaus gives a beautiful image of spiritual direction as we journey together allowing the Holy Spirit to guide and lead us.
